Director of sales and Accounts
EmPower Research is looking for a highly motivated individual who can sell and develop a strong pipeline for business research and information services for a high-growth company in the Knowledge Process Outsourcing space. Candidates should have proven sales experience in a related field e.g., Experience in ONE or more of the following verticals is a must - Advertising, Public Relation, Management Consulting, Equity Research, Legal Research, Market Research. EmPower is a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) company with locations in New York, San Francisco and Bangalore, India.

The role of the Director of Sales and Accounts is multi-dimensional. The primary responsibility is to work with EmPower's New York-based Managing Partner, Debjani Deb, to generate and close sales leads primarily in the New York metropolitan area. The second area of responsibility is to oversee the completion of sold projects and ensure customer satisfaction while promoting organic growth. This role has the potential to evolve into a Management role, as new sales people are hired each quarter, with high growth potential for an individual willing to rise to the challenge.

Senior Research Analyst
Job Description
The incumbent in the Analyst/Sr. Analyst position will be responsible for leading research assignments for clients based in North America. The scope of work will include identifying the best sources of data, undertaking secondary research, and providing sound analysis.
 
General Qualifications:
Must have the ability to think strategically and analytically in order to effectively assess each research assignment
Must be able to draw clear and concise conclusions regarding research to present to various account staffers and executive leaders across the client teams
Demonstrated experience in using various research databases and tools i.e., Factiva and/or Lexis Nexis, academic databases (Proquest, Amigo), Hoovers Online, Internet research - (Google), Finance websites (Yahoo Finance)
Demonstrated experience in using MS Office tools
Skills and competencies:
3+ years of work experience in the management consulting, market research, financial services, telecom and/or IT industry.
Should have worked on custom research project like
- Industry Analysis,
- Trend Analysis
- Competitive Analysis,
- Blog Analysis,
- Company Analysis,
- Media Audit
- Market Sizing etc.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong problem solving and Communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong analytical and project management skills
Excellent client interaction skills including very good writing skills
 
Education: MBA/PGDBM from Premier B-Schools
 
Experience: Three or more years of experience, ideally with a research organization or consulting firm.
 
Marketing Manager
Job Description
The Marketing Manager will help execute defined strategies for new market entry targeted at businesses. In addition, he/she will be responsible to conceptualize Market campaigns and drive marketing initiatives for the organization. The key role of this position is in defining and executing the Branding Initiatives and Market Campaigns.
 
Primary Responsibilities Include
Developing and implementing marketing strategy for the company to increase revenues and help achieve company objectives
Monitoring and tracking marketing ROI
Creating and owning the Marketing Plan & Budget for the company
Leading & managing all marketing initiatives for the company
Coordinating with all internal departments to execute marketing initiatives

Profile
Ideal candidates must be able to edit under pressure, with the ability to juggle between several documents at the same time, and make editorial decisions quickly and correctly
A solid knowledge of English grammar and usage is necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are also important as editors will have to communicate with analysts to solve problems and questions in their documents
Degree/Post Graduate Degree in English, Mass Communication, Journalism etc. from a recognized University along with at least 2-6 years of editing experience, ideally in an IT/ITES/KPO/Content Development environment
 
 
Business Development Manager
Job Description
Empower Research is looking to hire business development managers to create and manage client engagements in North America and other geographies. As Business Development Manager, primary responsibility will be to generate and maximize revenue and business growth opportunities through establishing, developing, and maintaining long-term business relationships with clients.
 
Primary Responsibilities Include
Being an integral part of BD team
International calling, establishing the initial contact or building on existing relationships
Making calls to set-up meetings with manager and director level (CXO) people at large pharma companies, consumer electronics companies, retailers, etc.
Understanding client's requirements and convincing clients of the benefits of our services
Providing existing clients with proposals for projects, proposal writing to executive level people at most companies
Acquiring accounts/projects on a regular basis
Facilitating smooth running of each new account/new project through regular liaison with our delivery and management teams
Marketing material development
Conference identification and scheduling
Sector tracking to enable thought leadership in primary sectors of interest

Qualifications/Requirements
The candidate should:
Be capable of developing new client business independently

The primary requirements are - being articulate, aggressive (with cold calling), ideally experienced with sales and cold calling, and a creative self starter - who can see a piece of news and put two and two together to say that - this person might be interesting as a target. This is not something that can be easily dictated - needs some kind of bulldog mentality
 
Should have at least a Bachelor's in Business Administration, MBA preferred
 
Should be a senior person - at least 4 to 5 years BD/selling knowledge-based services, market research/business intelligence services to large corporates and others with a successful track record
Someone who can think independently
Willing to work in US/UK shift
 
Travel
1-2 times a year trip to the US for sales training and client interaction

Manager/Senior Manager
Job Description
The incumbent in the Manager position will be responsible for leading multiple research assignments for clients based in North America. The scope of work will include leading teams that can deliver client ready analytics-based projects.

This candidate must have the ability to think strategically and analytically in order to effectively assess each research assignment. In addition, this person must be able to assess resource requirements for and staff/train/manage projects accordingly.

The ideal candidate should have an MBA from a reputed school and have 3-8 years of work experience in the management consulting, market research, financial services, telecom and/or IT industry. Having both will be a great plus. This person must be a self-starter, be able to juggle multiple projects and work under varying deadlines.
