Job Responsibilities

Would be involved in editing high level business research reports, presentations, whitepapers articles etc., for grammar, punctuation, accuracy, consistency, and comprehensibility.
Check reports for structure, tone , flow consistency, etc
Ensure grammatical accuracy in all reports
Communicate regularly with research teams
Conduct training on business writing and communication
Share best practices with research teams
Ensure compliance with organisation’s style guide and template
 
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Mastery in ‘English’
Excellent editorial skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Critical eye for accuracy and attention to detail
Adept with Microsoft Office suite/familiar with Adobe Acrobat
Exposure to AP Style (Associate Press style)
 
Profile
Ideal candidates must be able to edit under pressure, with the ability to juggle between several documents at the same time, and make editorial decisions quickly and correctly.
A solid knowledge of English grammar and usage is necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are also important as editors will have to communicate with analysts to solve problems and questions in their documents.
Degree / Post Graduate Degree in English, Mass Communication, Journalism etc. from a recognized University along with at 2-6 years of editing experience, ideally in an IT/ITES/KPO/Content Development environment
